Golden Ten Data, April 10|Daiwa Securities analyst Eiji Kinouchi pointed out that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) economic forecast scheduled for release next week may determine the trend of the Tokyo stock market. He stated that IMF forecast adjustments usually affect foreign investors’ trading patterns for about nine weeks. Kinouchi said, “If Japan’s economic outlook is more optimistic (compared to other countries), considering its relatively high oil reserves, we may see a certain degree of buying interest from European investors.” In addition, Bank of Japan Deputy Governor Shinichi Himino said on Friday that despite facing Middle East risks and rising oil prices, Japan is not currently in a state of stagflation.
